My classroom newsletters and calendars have been a big hit. I love making things that you are able to use in your classrooms all year long. I've received several requests for sets that match your classroom themes in addition to the seasonal ones. I started with an animal/safari themed set and am working on owls now. I've also had requests for bees and a beach theme. I can't promise I'll get them all finished, but I'm having fun making them and collecting new clip art too.
If you have a request, you can leave it here in the comments section or write on my Facebook wall. I'll try to make the most popular ones first.
I also have a guest post up later today with a writing unit freebie. I wonder where you'll find me... Here's a hint: She recently published a book of reading graphic organizers to use with the new Common Core Standards. Ooops, I think I just gave it away. =)

I know:)
ReplyDeleteI would love to have a monster themed set of newsletters!

Smedley's Smorgasboard of Kindergarten
I would like superhero themed newsletters. Thinking about the graphic organizer book from Laura Candler, but now sure that is what you are talking about. Beth
ReplyDeleteWould it be possible to do a theme based on Pete the Cat or Clifford. I know there might be copyright issues but it seems like I have seen clipart with blue cats and red dogs that were not specifically "Clifford" or "Pete the Cat". I love your calendars and newsletters and plan to purchase one of the others if you are not able to do one of these. Thanks for solving one of my problems....I hate making up newsletters. Tina
ReplyDeleteI second the Pete the Cat - maybe mix him into a couple of sporting events like basketball, football, swimming, volleyball, running, gymnastics, etc. The superhero is a cute idea, too.
ReplyDeleteThanks!!!
These are adorable!! Would you be up for doing pirate themed ones? Love it!!

Learning Is Something to Treasure
Thanks for the ideas! Sounds like I have some work to do. :) I stay away from any specific art due to copyrights. Pete the Cat sent a big cease and desist letter out last week to have all of the teacher-created products about it pulled, which is a good example of why I don't do it. It's too bad because the little ones love it, but I can see how the company is just protecting their brand.
ReplyDeleteI totally understand and had not heard about Pete the Cat wanting teacher-created products pulled. Makes me sad but I do understand. I look forward to seeing your new creations and then deciding which one I want. Thanks again!

ReplyDeleteLove the writing unit, thanks! (Very easy clue by the way ;) I'd love to see a black, white, and teal (or turquoise) set of newsletters. ;)
